BPSA Trade Association Committee

The Bicycle Product Suppliers Association Trade Association Committee (BPSA TAC) is PeopleForBikes’ leading committee that oversees its six subcommittees. The BPSA TAC is made up of 15 leaders from PeopleForBikes member companies who work together to shape the future of the bike industry.

Electric Bicycle Subcommittee

The Electric Bicycle Subcommittee advances e-bike policies at the local, state, and federal levels, including the adoption of PeopleForBikes’ model three-class legislation. Our goal is to expand access to safe places to ride e-bikes while providing accurate and updated information to riders, retailers, industry members, and various management and regulatory agencies through research, local advocacy, and resource development.

Research and Statistics Subcommittee

The Research and Statistics Subcommittee is devoted to growing the bicycle industry through insightful and actionable research. The subcommittee reviews the current Circana retail (sell-through) data set on a monthly basis with in-depth meetings twice per year to identify and answer the bicycle industry’s most pressing questions.

Legal, Legislative, and Safety Subcommittee

Membership, Events, Education, and Marketing (MEEM) Subcommittee

The MEEM Subcommittee ensures that the PeopleForBikes Coalition has a robust, diverse, and engaged association membership and provides opportunities for the industry to learn, network, and grow both in person and virtually. The committee also engages with non-members to showcase the advantages of PeopleForBikes membership and works to improve benefits for current members.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Industry Subcommittee provides space for industry leaders to learn, listen, and take action to make their companies and the industry more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. The group also identifies ways for the industry to work collectively to welcome more people to the bicycling community and build safe and comfortable places for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to ride.

Sustainability Working Group

The Sustainability Working Group advances tactical initiatives to achieve environmental, health, and corporate sustainability goals for the bike industry and its partners.
