In response to New York's recent S7503B/A1910B legislation, which aims to improve consumer safety regarding lithium-ion batteries used in electric bicycles, PeopleForBikes created an updated battery operating manual for e-bike manufacturers. This important new law, which goes into effect on January 7, 2025, requires all manufacturers to provide translated versions of a lithium-ion battery operating manual to their customers in printed and digital formats.

In 2023 alone, more than 500,000 e-bikes were sold in the U.S., a number that continues to exceed sales of electric cars and trucks.
